Nice day on the water. Wind wasn’t too bad and got a bit warm.
Some cutts pinning chum fry right up to the beach. Not much size other than a 17” snaky post spawn fish. It should plump up quickly.
The usual amount of litter. Lots of insoles. My car smelled like strawberries all the way home. Some stuff was too big to haul out.

Some kind of Trillium or easter lily but the leaves look kind of funny?

Nice picture of an ochre starfish, Pisaster ochraceous. This species is quite variable in color: orange like this individual to purple, reddish, or brown. It was one of the species badly hit by sea star wasting disease that devastated many starfish species from California to Alaska in 2013-2016. They are major predators ("keystone species") of marine invertebrates in the mid-lower rocky intertidal zone, feeding especially on barnacles, whelks, and mussels. Fortunately, they have recruited and recovered well in some areas of their range, but not all.

Nice conditions today down south. Light breeze and drizzle. Some fish caught, but nothing picture worthy. The fish were definitely on fry.
Some finds from today. No idea what the metal thing is. I was hungry, so the full package of Sour Patch Kids was tempting.

Interesting armored truck toy. It's got USA markings but looks very similar to the Russian GAZ Tigr.

Is that one of the fast ferries? Doesn’t look like a WSF boat wake but I’ve been wrong before.
That’s the wake of the Wenatchee slowing up to enter Eagle Harbor. Not just a ferry….a JUMBO ferry :).

Headed south this morning. Nice to have that hot weather gone.
It never really warmed up today. 47° when I started fishing at around 5:00 and 51° when I pulled the plug at noon. Pretty steady SE wind all morning that made thing pretty sloppy.
Some fish around hitting something, but not quite sure what they were. A few fish to hand, but nothing picture worthy.
Lot of litter and stuff left on the beach after the nice day yesterday.
