we get a lot of cedar waxwings here in the Tri-Cities in the winter, and they raid my big linden trees to feed on the seeds.Cedar waxwings are not uncommon, but they don't often stand still for very long. You get set to take a picture and they are off. But occasionally, a bird or two will alight in a perfect spot with good lighting (not silhouetted against a bright sky) and you can really capture their beauty. Here are a few of the best shots from a recent trip to Nisqually Wildlife Refuge.

I’m leaning towards sharp shinned, but not confident in that.sharp shinned or coopers, still a challenge for me.
