I bought “Kick” by INXS and The Fix “Reach the Beach” about the same time and I am old.
She is great, I owned everything she released at one point.
Rare an artist is so unique and creative, and still achieves a decent amount of commercial success.
The Peter Gabriel collaboaration helped and she is unusual enough to early on acquire a cult like following in Britainand she has always been beautiful. Her music is provocative and not intellectually demeaning
Certainly has long time fans...even here.
I purchased her first US release because I was intrigued by the sounds, and the Roger Gilmore connection. Was very unlike my typical listening choices at the time.
The Dreaming and Never for Ever were fantastic records...I really dont consider any of her albums bad, but of course there are ones I prefer.
