Our neighborhood has had a lot more ā€œadding iceā€ days than ā€œlosing iceā€ days over the last month. As soon as we get a week above freezing with a bracing W itā€™s on!
Ughh! Rod, gonna be envious of you guys soon enough. We have two 40+ days coming next week but likely not enough of a dent. Back to teens and single digits right after. At least we're not part of the NE'er rolling in.

Looking forward to upping my Stillwater game, and I learn so much from all of you. My backs been out all week so I'm doing some reading.

Took a spin south of Cheney a couple of days ago, three lakes were ice covered but no snow cover. The 4th, the big lake, was as usual wide open and calm. I visited with three 'bankies' and they had suckered 6 or 7 decent sized Rainbows with power bait.
Unless we get a major cold snap my guess is that the March 1st lake will have open water come the 'big day'.

Ice off will be soon. @troutpocket and I will be waiting! Other's will join us as well. I think we just about always hit a lake still half frozen together. Usually worth the frozen feet!
I wonder if the creek through the little hike in lake is opening some water??
