The “Purdiest” trout…

Trout are so incredibly diverse in their individual characteristics, markings and colors… even within the same species. That’s been evident with all the photos shown of them by folks here, and on the ”other” forum over the years.

This little Cutthroat was caught on a trip I took a few hundred miles east of here awhile back, and stands out as probably the prettiest trout that I remember catching.

Show us the prettiest one you’ve caught. Big, small, crummy photo … it doesn’t matter, let’s see ‘em.

I love the colorful cheeks, the bronze back, the spots, and the namesake red band on these rainbows in the fall.

The bulls can be a pretty char too. Love the green, yellow and then orange spotting.

I wouldn’t call this guy purdy but he’s been kinda unforgetable for me because he was so dark…..almost black.

Caught it a couple years ago in a hike in lake up in the Chuckanuts
