It’s got a bit more effective backbone for fighting fish and picking up line because it’s a shorter lever, it’s significantly lighter in both mass and swing weight, it'll fight a fish at the boat easier, and can make netting the fish easier, it recovers a bit faster, and it trades some distance for improved accuracy and control, and it does it for $200 less than the Streamer X. Streamer X has somewhat better components and cork, is more of a tip flex, and seems to be a bit faster.
Been playing with Airflo's 4 Season Sniper 2.0 one line up (8wt on the 7wt) and true line size and that's a great line for the Eight Four.
