About once a year someone in one of my local facebook neighborhood groups posts and asks about sourdough starter. I always (just can't help it) ask if anyone has any Indian naan bread starter. Someone always bites... "you don't need a starter for indian naan bread.". My response, "oh, so it's a naan-starter..."

Gary, why don't you just send Roper a bit of your starter? I would, but I'm in Colorado, and it might be a bit flat by the time it got there.
I'll bring you a jar of starter if you like.

Sourdough Starter
This is the tried-and-true method we use for making sourdough starter here at King Arthur, and we feel you'll have success with our sourdough starter recipe.
Make sure to use a quality unbleached bread flour. I swear by having at least 20% whole grain in the feeding flour. I hope she enjoys the journey!
