It was blowing almost 20mph this morning. Pretty sure I'd of never got that indicator set or see it. Could have used one of the 1" coming in the mail.

Plumbobbers http://www.plumbobber.com/index.html look very interesting. However their production and distribution appears to be problematic. There is only one retail outlet listed on the Plumbobber website and they show none of any size in stock and a review stating they're hard to find in-stock 🤔...

"💡" It does look like in a similar way to making a "Seeger Cator", they might be able to be fashioned from a standard tapered slip strike indicator with a loop of heavy mono permanently secured (with epoxy?) to the end of the pin, the pin permanently secured in the float, and some stretchy silicone tubing sized to fit snugly on the pin. A bonus would be finding something cheap that is like orange "Stake Whisker Marker" strands to epoxy into the embedded end of the pin to stick out the top of the float.

@Triggw, could the components be inexpensively sourced?
I confess to having an in with the "factory," or at least what used to be the factory, so I haven't had to buy one in a while. Last ones I bought were at North Park Anglers in Walden, Colo, but that's been a few years back. I fear the originator has gone on to other interests.

I'll add that the originator originally used a Thill bobber that had a wooden stem with a hole in it and simply found tubing the right size. But it was too small if the waves were heavy, and it lacked the tassel on the top, which aids visibility and lets you loop the leader between the "ears" to fish it in non-release mode.

Added: Just checked. North Park Anglers says they have them in stock. (https://shop.northparkanglers.com/plumbobber.html)

Interesting to note that when searching through North Park Anglers' website, there's a large photo of the shop's interior with a well-stocked display fixture of bobbers with a sign that reads,"Buy One, Get Two Free".......................🙂🙂🙂.........
