Awesome Dogs of PNW

I figured you did just seeing the way your pup watches you. Amazing creatures. Over the years I have been blessed to have partnered with Black & Yellow Labs, but never a Chocolate. After looking at her photos again, I must once again say that she is a beauty!
When we decided to get another dog, we looked at all breeds. But our black lab spoiled us. But we couldn’t get a black because of our previous one. Almost a fox red lab until we saw the sires head. This chocolate wanted us immediately. So unlike our black, but the same. My heart will break again in 12 years

We are fostering a dog for possible adoption. Temporarily named Barley, he's a 3yo lab husky mix (Labsky?). He's been at our house since yesterday and he's a good boy.

We have been "interviewing" a few rescue dogs over the past weeks. One really nice dog wasn't right for us but might be perfect for someone else. Picket, a Shepard cattle dog mix, is exceptionally well-trained. She knows about 10 commands (including a bombproof recall, heel like glue off your left side, "home" to stand between your legs, and "close the door") and is extremely smart, poised, and task oriented. She was raised from a puppy by a couple who love her but recently had a baby, and Picket is jealous of the baby. Can't have that and the couple wants a good home for her (the dog that is). I like Picket a lot but she was not cuddly enough for my wife. This dog is all business and wants to work and show what she knows. If anyone wants to know more about Picket, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with the owners in Leavenworth.

The guy's a firefighter and they both do a lot of climbing and mountaineering. Picket is very focused on her people and eager for commands. Getting petted and cuddled, not so much. She might make a great farm dog but I think her people want her to be a loved and pampered family dog.
F'only I were closer - beautiful pup; hope she finds a great home!!

Basically I was thinking she's gonna need room to roam, but, ok ....

We officially adopted him after determining that he can coexist with our cat and after much family discussion named him Rigby. He wants to please but definitely needs some work on basic commands. Here's the good boy settling in:

Picket still needs a home, if anyone is interested please let me know.
