1982 Clackacraft 16' - $3,700 Located in Everett, Wa

Boat:
The good:

  • Interior rebuild and paint from PNW Fiberglass and Composite Solutions in June 2023
    • New side bunks, new interior paint, floor with texture
  • Fresh buff, polish, and wax job
  • Seats 3, you can swap the rear seat onto the front bench as well
  • New low back tractor rowing seat
  • New anti-fatigue floor mats
  • New anchor rope, and a spare (the black rope in the photos was replaced with a double braded white)
  • New trim-lok all the way around the boat
  • Covercraft Cover (always stored with the cover and a tarp over that since I've owned it)

The bad:

  • Some wear on the outside (see photos)

Trailer:
The good:

  • Trailer licensed (but not titled yet, came from Oregon where title is not required but can be titled in 2 years in WA)
  • New tires
  • New hubs, bearings, and seals with bearing buddies.
  • New bunks
  • Fresh paint
  • New LED lights
  • New winch/strap

The bad:

  • For the trailer title mentioned above. Oregon requires a title for boats and Washington requires a title for trailers (and boats if the boat is over 16' or has a motor over 10hp). I purchased the boat and trailer in Bend, OR from the second owner (owned it for 20 years and I have the Oregon title from him) last year. I brought it into Washington and got the trailer checked, stamped/serialized, and licensed by the WA State patrol. For the title you have to wait 3 years for a title in doubt process, it has 2 years left on the wait. I have the original Oregon title as well.

Everything else:
  • 9' Sawyer MX Counter Balanced Oars with oar rights
  • Lead anchor
  • Spare transom mounts (made new ones for the boat, and have the originals)
  • Fish-on rod holders

I had an '83. The 16 feet refers to the gunnel length. With a reasonable payload, probably the best rowing fiberglass boat all time. FYI, it's not a highside.

Old Clacks never die, just keep on going with proper maintenance...bottom on my 84' Magnum bottom was in worse shape..get that 82 off the trailer and rollit (four borrowed throw away tires from the local tire to suspend the hull) orbital sand job, fill the deeper scratches and gouges, two coats of Sea Hawk High Build Epoxy and a finish coat, will IMG_20150307_153251 (2).jpglook like this..
