I’m not sure it has a name, just some generic damselfly I whipped up.@Travis Bille, what's it called? And what's it for ?
Ha, I wasn’t sandbagging, I honestly don’t know and wondered if you do, or if it was in one of your references.i'm sorry but i do not know
what is the relationship?
Thanks, doubt I’ll be tracking it down but if anyone out there has it and/or knows the story, I am curious. Maybe it’s just an abbreviation because “Memphramagog” is so darn long a word! This book by Don Wilson is the "bible" of Smelt Patterns
Smelt Fly Patterns: Dressings Tying Fishing
It may be out of print, but am sure you could find it on-line
I vaguely recall they are different lakes in Maine. Often lakes had a pretty local pattern, named after the lake. My family had a summer camp on Winnepesaukee, we fished the Winnepesaukee Smelt pattern pretty hard. Pretty sure I fished Magog back in the day. Thanks, doubt I’ll be tracking it down but if anyone out there has it and/or knows the story, I am curious. This one is a tad small (sz4) to get attention from the 'hos. When I'm looking for silvers on top, I'm usually throwin' something about 3 times the size.A few silvers might like as well.
