Hit Merwin before work this morning. Quick limit. I found the fish at 50’-70’. Small Spin Glo tipped with tuna corn behind a Brads Flasher worked well.

Usually bbq or bake them and smoke them.Nice kokes! Do you can them?
With the spawn coming up we are probably on the back end of the fishery.Does Merwin tend to fish year round? I've been tempted to go try it but this time of year I have tuna on the brain.
Yeah I wouldn't be thinking about it until then anyways. Tuna and local salmon is about all I'm interested in until after that October slowdown. Then I typically hang em up until spring. But winter kokanee is intriguing. With the spawn coming up we are probably on the back end of the fishery.
I’ll start fishing it again at the end of October.
The good thing about the winter fishery is the fish are usually near the surface and no down riggers or a bunch of lead is needed.
