I think it was $15.99/lb at metropolitan Market which is typically more expensive than other groceries. It was 12.99 at northern fish
I found Black cod/sablefish at Wild Salmon (Fisherman's Terminal) at $14.99/lb. I then went to Shoreline's Central Market for sakekasu marinade. Three days soak for the marinade and then broiled the fish. Mixed wild mushroom rice and blanched green beans in a toasted sesame seed, tofu, and miso dressing for the sides last night. A very Japanese dinner affair. Sorry no pictures. The rice and green bean recipes were kind of labor intensive--especially making the dressing for the beans. Probably took me three hours from beginning to end of meal. But it was really good.

Did a never fails to satisfy old reliable meal.
Lamb Leg on the grill with Tuscan White Beans and Roasted Veggies. Easy, makes leftovers and we like it a lot.

Real star here was the vino though. After a nice long 3 hour decant this was excellent with the dinner. Really quite nice, hated to see this one empty.
Probably should have worn my ascot, but couldn't find it.

Have you thought of using guanciale, for the fat, to cook Italian (white and borlotti) beans in for your side? I mean, the beans are already al dente, but they get finished in browned chunks of guanciale. Had that with a borlotti (cranberry) beans and endive salad at a now defunct Italian restaurant in Old Oakland. Nice smaller bite-sized browned chunks of meaty guanciale with those al dente beans toned-up with the right amount of salt and pepper. Sure was good!

BTW, I'm a huge fan of lamb anything. You Da Man!

Next time I have some guanciale maybe I'll try it.
Usually only buy it for carbonara.
