I have used Maxima for some time now, both Ultra Green and Chameleon with no complaints.
A few years ago I tried fluorocarbon for trout with mixed results. It seemed that the knots were only good for 1 good fish, if I didn’t retie my fly it would break off on the next good one. I am now trouting for a stretch and thought I would try another brand of fluorocarbon that I have heard recommend…It knotted well, but it broke on the first good eat on a swung sculpin. 10” below the loop to tip - no sign of curl or stretch. It was 8# no way it should have broken, even wind knotted or nicked.
Back to 6# Maxima UG today, landed 3, a few LDRed… tie it on, fish it, forget about it.
