I spent Wednesday to Friday out clearing up trees and brush in the driveway of the new property this week. I could hear them when I drove in Wednesday down on the lower end of the property by the river. I didn’t think to much about except that it was nice to hear. Thursday I was having lunch down in the trees, drinking a beer and listening to some tunes and 12 turkeys walked within 10 yards of me. I thought that was super cool. So…. I’m think I might have to take one next week when I go back out. It looks like it’s open and ether sex😬 I saw probably close to 50 turkeys in those few days. some before and after shots, and some turkeys.

Damn you put in some work this weekend. I've been sitting at home this weekend since my elk archery grounds are shut down due to wildfire danger.

I did, Maximum effort! It was 2 -10 hour days. I’m sorry to hear about your elk grounds, it’s pretty sad. It’s all around us in yakima and very Smokey.

I’m spending the week at our new property, cutting brush and some trees and cleaning out a few buildings. I’ve seen a pile of turkeys, these guys rolled through while I was on a beer break! I think I’m going to let them get a little bigger.90F9E9CC-ECF7-445D-98E9-FB1923F6F5FC.jpeg2225D51A-8147-44B5-B5B7-117C83DA98DB.jpegBDAA93E8-4876-4F3A-9392-FBE867034F7A.jpeg

Outstanding! Just look at that smile.
He is still pumped! He just finished up his hunter safety last week and bought a license that day. This was his first time shooting a 12 gauge. With no father in the picture, it was a pretty special moment! He’s hooked!
