Interesting article in the Seattle Times about a jetty at the mouth of the Skagit between it and the Swinomish channel that hasn't been maintained for 50+ years and is now killing baby salmon as they out-migrate. US Army Corps of Engineers are dumping rocks onto the jetty to try and plug the holes.
