I can't argue against this. As I said above, I have mixed emotions about the firing.

Different watercraft or a trailer. My little 12ft is on a trailer and I can't imagine trying to wrestle it off the top of a canopy. A kayak fits in the back of most trucks so easily. How big/busy is the water you fish? Could you get away with one of those pond prowlers? Or even a 1040/1236...

Yeah, weather (and kid sports) has kept me from fishing this weekend. I tossed a line from shore into one of my favorite bass lakes that opened, but it was mostly just ceremonial. Hoping the sun pops out and lets me chase some fish later in the week.

My experience is pretty minimal due to spending most of my time on the wet side of the hills. But generally I think Rob is correct. If you've got time to draw/aim/shoot while hoofing along in waders, holding a rod, etc... you probably have plenty of time to just get out of their way. I can't...
