My sentiments as well and paying to fish the Clackamas is kind of like paying to fish the Skykomish or Snoqualmie.

I used to fish under that bridge when I was a kid, Stocker owned the field and it was private property. If you paid him $5 he would give you a card that said you paid for access to his property and when he would send his kids down to kick everyone out I would end up with the spot all to myself...

I went last year and enjoyed it, barring weird tragedy I'll be there again.

I did, it was a fairly quiet affair with tiers, casting classes, casting instruction, and rods to demo. I was there for three hours or so and earned a "bronze level" casting certificate on the challenge course. Overall I had a good time and it was worth it to attend.
