What's in your vise?

Been a minute since I've tied any musky stuff. tied up my Spooky Special.....just for Fall. Once it gets wet, the longer bucktail lays down and it has a more tubular form to it. Really enjoy fishing this style as it's got some incredible movement to it & flat out produces.

This is incredibly stock, but damn this style works well. While I'm always the tinkerer, have to resist the urge on this...

5 more days of coho fishing in 9. A couple more to wrap up the season. Damn that went by fast.

Nice ties, as usual! What are you using for your winging material? It looks like a synthetic, maybe Unique Hair? Squimpish fiber?

I catch about 90% of my steelhead with a fly called the Kilowatt, a black and blue fly tied on a jig hook. The fly is so good, I use it about 90% of the time of course.
Maybe, given the area you are fishing, it should be a Megawatt? I used to tie a more subtled colored black and blue pattern: the Bruise. It worked quite well further up the big river.
