The Stonedfish/Bambooflyguy monthly lake dry fly challenge!

It's Amazing when that big mouth breaks the surface and opens. Seems like the world goes into slow motion.
On 6x tippet just makes it more fun. Sweet.
 
On the May emerger/dry board! It’s getting way easier with warmer temperatures air and water. More bugs hatching and rising trout! Tom and I were at a western lake yesterday, unreal mayfly hatch! Unfortunately the frickin wind was blowing all day so no chance of dry action.
 
I got on the board tonight as well at one of my locals. Basic blackish grey & white buzzer. Caught more with sunken midge behind it though.
And....had 2 on at once!! I haven't done that for a few years. Both decent fish and they both went the same way the first run so that was a bit crazy on the 3wt. Haha! But alas, as soon as I got my phone out to take video the one on the midge threw the hook. Of course.

I also caught a couple on jigged leeches under a bobber. And a few of these colorful guys on the leeches as well. Initiated the new Measure Net bag. Not gonna lie, when they're this size on the 3wt it's pretty damn fun!

I saw his brother today on 288th and Pac Hwy. He was trying to beat the crap out of telephone pole.
Wonder what he will think when he comes off that crap?
At least your nice stoner was interested in a fish report. Still some hope for him.
 
June is pretty easy to get r done! Several lakes obliged to the challenge. One in particular brookies and rainbows on dries…..anybody else?
 
Nobody eh?? If I won’t join them….I’ll beat them! July is even better for top water action for trout! The best this month was a pay to play lake in BC. Purple hazes and blue damsels got r done.
