The 2025 NFL Season Discussion

Well that Hawks game was as disappointing as the Coho fishing today.

Pat's looked good last night. McDaniels is doing a nice job with the boy.

If Hawks weren't on like their third string secondary, I think that would have been enough. Pritchett was getting abused all game. The defense basically played in a way that required the offense to play perfect, and they came pretty close to that. If not for Darnold getting hit while trying to throw the ball away there at the end, they had a good shot.

Didn't expect the offense to be as good as it is, but if both sides of the ball can show up to the same game, this is a very, very good team. Darnold definitely in the early stages of making a good case for franchise QB. I see zero chance of Milroe beating him out any time soon.

Damn, that didn’t take long.

without any undefeated teams and some surprising outcomes, it appears we're watching the most competitive NFL season in many years. Aside from the angst of watching 'our' teams perform, makes for better viewing when no team is safe from defeat and the battle goes down to the final minutes.
WTH is going on with players who bust through for runs all the way to the end zone only to drop the ball just as they cross the goal line, resulting in a lost TD, now three in a week...

Geno has regressed massively since his first season starting for Seattle. He was still mostly ok last year, but would undo all his good work with a boneheaded interception which got worse as time went on. Now it seems like boneheaded interceptions is all he does.

Also, I don't see how they thought Pete was going to be the guy. Maybe just see him as a bridge until someone they really want comes along, but this is pretty much what I expected from Pete after seeing him without a defense full of hall of famers.

Yeah, this has been a fun year so far. I think, for me, the most surprising part besides there being far better games overall is the reffing seems to be miles ahead of what I have come to expect the last few years. I feel like every game I'd watch was being influenced far too heavily with really questionable calls. While still not perfect this year, it seems to be far less of an issue.

electronic yard marking keeps the game moving without the time consuming chain gang, accountability is higher with some ref's being sent back down to college, and 'objective grading' is how playoffs ref's are assigned...all good changes.

Yeah, it's definitely making a difference. The bad refs definitely made for some really frustrating games the past few years. Sucked the joy out of watching a lot of games for me.

Better refs = better product. Hopefully this trend continues.

I was fishing so didn't get to watch it, but was listening, yeah the O was great. But it seemed like neither defense showed up and like the announcers said, last team with the ball will win it!

Took a while before the Chiefs got a PI called on them, but when they finally did, it was in a good spot.
😁

and yet another play becomes NFL lore...'The Stumble Six'
this season proving to be a hoot
