I love June.

Sunsets are better with bass.

The crappie were aggressive too.

The bass was 16" and 2.5 pounds and the crappie were about 12" and very fat.
The other bass were all weanies between 8-12". At least they kept me busy.

They all fell for my 2/0 bass gurgler.

Hard to beat Western WA on days like today.

How many crappie did you catch?
I only caught 3. They were all good sized though. Big enough to take the 2/0 popper. They were destroying a hatch of #10 or 12 buzzers. I could of had a fish fry if I would have thrown out an emerger, but I was trying to catch a decent bass. He was worth not spending time on the crappie.

My friggin mitt detracts from his size. #tallguyproblems
I put him on my new fancy Bass Pro XPS digital fish scale and he was 2.5 lbs. Haha! I got the scale for carp, but I threw it in the boat bag at the last second. So I'm a bass bro now I guess. :ROFLMAO:

The biggest crappie was just over 12" and really healthy. They have a brighter color and are just in better overall shape this year. Fought better too! I thought the one that was about 11" was a bass!
This lake, sorry my lake, :) has a lot of tannic acid in it so they take on a very dark color. The bass do as well.
