super glue in my ceramic bobbin

dang... did the old brush super glue on the thread trick and some of it must have rolled down the thread and into the ceramic insert on my bobbin. Of course it was one of my nice umpqua ceramic bobbins. Anyone got a hack for fixing? Acetone cleans up super glue and I don't think it would hurt the ceramic?

when in doubt apply some acetone to the non working part of the bobbin. If there is no reaction you should be safe to go.

Acetone won't hurt your ceramics but it might mess with the insert glueline.

Permabond also recommends soaking in warm water to weaken the bond if you're worried about acetone, which would work faster. I believe the water treatment softens the glue, making it easier to scrape off with something.

Thanks all for the tips. I'm gonna pick up some acetone and squirt/carefully pour it into the ceramic guide and hope it unblocks it.
