Commited to top water this weekend and this was the best i could land, hindsight is 2020 i learned i need to pause forever after the pop, lost a good one learning it on accident, smallies are similar to trout in this river i feel like im fishing trout on the upper yak20230804_080145.jpg

Quick trip under the bridge to vacate during a house showing, the smallies were ignoring the frog, gurgler and the crawfish so i threw on an indicator with a white balanced leach followed by a nymph producing a feisty 15" that had the kids and their spinning rods jealous, another showing at 230 hopefully the same resultIMG_20230904_104744_460.jpg

The other showing was a disaster, i pushed the limits, trying to help 3 kids 10,8,6 and fish saw my dr slicks get thrown in to the river after i ruined it cutting up their rapala treble hooks they had fully ingrained in my favorite net for a 5 inch bass, on top of having to redo lines non stop from some useless worleybird type cast they seen on YouTube.
I now owe them each a solo trip this week since they broke me instead of the other way around. These kids are damn savages, i blame their mom🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
