Greetings all,
I used to hang out over on the other forum, but have finally made the migration over here. Woo hoo!
It's March, and that means time to load up the backpacks and float tubes and head out to central WA for some lake action. This marks our 8th straight year of plying these particular waters and every year we unlock another piece of the puzzle. The fish gods blessed us this time with exceptional weather, mid 50s during the day and low-mid 30s at night. Better yet the winds were mild so there was no need to plow through any whitecaps. Fishing was slow but steady throughout the day and into the evening. We were even paid a visit by the rare and elusive brown trout that are rumored to still lurk in these waters. Well, 1 brown, but a brute that easily surpassed our previous best. Lots of 'bows were landed and many were thick and spirited. All in all a great trip, great company, and a great way to wet yer whistle for the rest of spring and summer.
Cheers.
