Has whatever river that is been channelized to dry out the pastureland, or is there are geologic feature keeping it straight?

Has whatever river that is been channelized to dry out the pastureland, or is there are geologic feature keeping it straight?

There are two dams upstream. One is man made. The other is a natural earth dam created by a landslide resulting from an earthquake back in the 50's.

Other than a few diversion throughout the main stem this is natural. This happens to be a straight section as there are bends all throughout this river.

But to my eye, I like the lines of the river, the bench in the midground, and the mtns in the background. They tend to lead the eye providing for an interesting composition.
